Machines are rusty. Most of all, No AC or fans in the back. How can you imagine going to gym with no fans or AC. The condition of the gym shows the "manager" guy does not really care about maintaining the gym or cares about keeping the customers. No wipes for wiping machines after workout. You have to wipe by spraying some purple looking liquid on a tissue that you get from the machine. Such a joke!
Dumbbell deadlifts are allowed, but the heaviest they have are 70lbs (one pair). That is also not heavy enough for other exercises, like dumbbell bench press. They have soooo much cardio equipment, but I really find the upper range of dumbbells to be lacking.
Also, the place tends to leak a lot, they often have buckets lying around catching dripping water. If they fixed the 3 problems I mention here, my rating would go to 4 or 5 stars.
Good for the price, but not great. It's hard to beat $10 a month, but my major complaints are that they ban deadlifting and also the dumbbells don't go heavy enough.
Deadlifting is a great full body exercise that is totally safe when performed correctly, but they ban it ostensibly for safety and I suppose also to keep "lunks" out of the "judgement-free zone", although it certainly feels like I'm the one being judged when they are telling me how I can and can't pick up weights.
Only major complaint is that they seem to have been having power issues lately and have been CLOSED multiple times due to power outages (during business hours). Very frustrating and may be cancelling membership solely on that reason.
Better PF than some people on here have made it out to be. Equipment is clean and not rusty as some have mentioned. Haven't seen one rusty machine and I'm there every day. Equipment is usually fixed quickly if broken. Can get a bit packed early week/peak evening hour but that's to be expected. Definitely have a water leak issue in at least one area every day. Staff is friendly. Agree that dumbbells could go higher than 70lb but it's PF come on.
The WORST LOCATION EVER you could visit, Very rude and impolite jerk name is OMAR he is calling himself a manager and he has nothing to do with management or anything just chilling around making ugly comments to people and stopping a black membership holder from entering the gym and giving embarrassing comments each and everyday!! ZERO customer service skills and such a midget like you should not be qualified to work in a gym and bother gym members for more than 5 years to enter their club. No rules are simply applied anyone can go in and out and he is trying to show off every single day. very bad experience and this dirty Omar tries to act and play games at all the time. This guy should be fired immediately it’s not the first time he always makes us feel uncomfortable. AVOID this location the Alexandria location is much more respectful and they have manners and they know how to treat their members very well, Go far away from the dwarf jerk OMAR who is calling himself a manager and he is a dirty bug,, ugly person and ugly experience.
